We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own purposes except as described in this Policy, with your direction or consent, or as otherwise permitted by law.

6. California Privacy Disclosures

California law, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), requires certain commercial websites that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers to conspicuously post a privacy policy describing their practices.

Do Not Track signals: Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to DNT signals in a standardized manner. You may use our cookie preference tools, when available, and browser controls to manage cookies and similar technologies. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid privacy preference signal, we will do so as required.

Based on information provided by Vanitas as of the preparation of this Policy, Vanitas does not currently meet the applicability thresholds for the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If our business practices or applicable legal thresholds change, we will update our practices and this Policy as required.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to respond to inquiries, maintain appropriate business and recruiting records, satisfy legal or contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was collected.

Job applicant data: Retained for as long as reasonably necessary for recruitment purposes, maintaining appropriate business records, and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Google Analytics user/event data retention setting: Retained in accordance with the data retention settings configured in our Google Analytics 4 account.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for business and employment-related audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
